Biologic Options for Urologic and Reconstructive Surgery

Urologic surgery often takes place within confined anatomy where tissue mobility, scar formation, prior treatment and urinary exposure can complicate the operative environment.

Evologics offers human tissue formats for clinician-directed wound coverage and selected soft-tissue reconstruction across robotic, laparoscopic and open urologic workflows.

From broad coverage to focused placement

EvoPatch

EvoPatch is a continuous, double-layer human amniotic membrane allograft intended for use as a wound covering.

It may be considered at selected surgical sites in prostatectomy, urethral reconstruction, stricture procedures, fistula-repair environments and other pelvic operations when consistent with the current Instructions for Use.

The omni-directional design eliminates a required up-or-down orientation during placement.

A-MATRX Micrograft

A-MATRX supplies dry amniotic membrane in precision-cut micrografts.

Its geometry may be useful for focused placement around irregular surfaces, narrow tissue planes and confined reconstructive sites where a continuous membrane sheet is not preferred.

Fascia Lata and Pericardium

Fascia lata and pericardial allografts provide additional soft-tissue options for selected urologic reconstruction.

Use depends on the product’s processing, dimensions, mechanical characteristics, labeling and the surgeon’s specific reconstructive plan.

EvoDerm

EvoDerm may also be evaluated for selected pelvic or soft-tissue reconstruction procedures where human dermal matrix is appropriate.

Urologic procedural environments

Product discussions may include:

  • Robotic or laparoscopic prostatectomy
  • Urethral reconstruction
  • Stricture surgery
  • Ureteral reconstruction
  • Fistula-repair environments
  • Pelvic dissection
  • Urinary-tract reconstruction
  • Pelvic soft-tissue repair
